Admissions Admission Preferences When available space is limited at any grade level, preference will be given to families registered in Blessed Sacrament Parish and families with siblings in the school. When classes are filled, Blessed sacrament will maintain a waiting list through the first three months of the school year. Re-registration is required for all students for the succeeding academic year.
Admission Requirements A birth certificate must be presented for proof of age ▪ Pre-Kindergarten 3 child must be 3 years old on or before October 1 ▪ Pre-Kindergarten 4 child must be 4 years old on or before October 1 ▪ Kindergarten child must be 5 years old on or before October 1 ▪ First Grade child must be 6 years old on or before October 1
Immunization records are required for admission: ▪ DPT: a minimum of 4 doses ▪ OPV: a minimum of 3 doses, provided at least one dose is given on or after the fourth birthday ▪ Measles vaccine: one dose administered on or after the first birthday ▪ Rubella vaccine: administered on or after the first birthday; children who were immunized before the first birthday are to be re-immunized. ▪ Mumps vaccine: administered on or after the first birthday; children who were immunized before the first birthday are to be re-immunized. ▪ Hepatitis: 3 doses before entering school An applicant whose immunization record is incomplete will not be admitted.
Catholic Applicants - A Baptismal Certificate and verification of the reception of any additional sacraments is required.
Transfer Students - In addition to the previous items, a transfer card and recent report card from the previous school is required.
Additional Steps for Admission include: ▪ A release letter must must be signed by the parent/guardian to obtain transcripts and other necessary information from the previous school. ▪ An interview with parent/guardian and student seeking admission is required.
